The Packham pear is an Australian pear first cultivated in 1896 by Charles Packham and is a cross between the Williams and the Bell pear. The Packham pear is larger than most other varieties and ripens from a light green to a light yellow colour. The flesh is firm and sweet and juicy to taste.
